Crochet Vintage Edwardian Wrap Free Pattern: The Inspiration
I love recreating crochet patterns from the past. This is why I created my Vintage Crochet Series. My vintage crochet series features patterns from the 18th century to the 1980s. I love creating these fun designs!
Some of my most popular vintage crochet designs include this Outlander inspired shawl and this 1950s inspired hair scarf. All my Vintage Crochet patterns are available for free on this blog.
I particularly love creatingΒ shawls and wraps from times gone by. Indeed, these feature lovely and feminine designs that I love going back to time and time again. These crochet patterns are inspired by my favorite books and films, often period dramas and French novels from the 19th century. The Fantine ShawlΒ is so beautiful, and it is of course inspired by my favorite book Les Miserables.
This Edwardian Rose Wrap is also one of my favorite crochet designs to date. It is so feminine, crocheted with Bernat Softee Baby yarn. This is one of my favorite yarns to date. Many more crochet shawls and wraps from times gone by are available on my blog.
Crochet Vintage Edwardian Wrap Free Pattern: The Edwardian Era
The Edwardian Era is a historical era in England from 1901 to 1911 (or sometimes it is extended to 1918, the end of World War 1). It is characterized by lovely modern dresses and slim, long shawls and accessories. It is a very elegant and feminine era, where jewel tones were very popular.
The Madeleine Shawl is a classic example of an Edwardian Era shawl. Just like this new design, it features long slim lines and lovely colors. These crochet shawls are perfect also if you are looking to create a prayer shawl.
If you love vintage crochet, you can also check out my Regency Era shawls. From the Ingenue Shawl to the Sweet Love Regency Era Shawl, there are lots of patterns on my blog reminiscent of Jane Austen’s world and books.

Fasten off and tidy up all loose ends.
